Privacy policy.

How we collect, use, disclose and protect the personal and health information you entrust to us.

Last updated: 6 July 2026

1. Our commitment

Health Compare Global is committed to protecting the privacy of members, applicants and dependants. This policy explains how we handle personal and sensitive health information in accordance with applicable data protection law.

2. Information we collect

We may collect your name, contact details, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, passport or identification details, payment details, and health information such as medical history, diagnoses, treatment records and claims documentation — where this is needed to underwrite, administer or pay under your cover.

3. Sensitive health information

Health information is sensitive information. We collect it only with your consent or where permitted by law, and we use it solely to assess applications, arrange pre-authorisation, assess and pay claims, coordinate evacuation and manage your membership.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to issue and renew policies, verify identity, arrange treatment with providers, settle bills directly, respond to enquiries, meet anti-money-laundering and sanctions obligations, and improve the services we provide to members.

5. Disclosure

We may disclose information to underwriters, reinsurers, medical providers, evacuation and assistance partners, claims administrators, auditors, legal advisers and technology suppliers — and to regulators or authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

6. Overseas transfers

Because our members live and are treated around the world, information may be transferred to providers and partners overseas. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy and applicable data protection law.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, encryption in transit, restricted claims systems and staff training.

8. Access and correction

You may request access to the personal and health information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function correctly as a result.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have breached our privacy obligations, please contact our Privacy Officer. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the data protection authority in your country of residence.
